Counseling for PTSD and Complex Trauma (CPTSD) in Cleveland, Ohio
Counseling
I provide 60-minute counseling sessions that are trauma-focused, holistic, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic, attachment-based, relational, and somatic therapies, meaning that I view emotional distress through the lens of unconscious patterns, early attachment experiences, relationship dynamics, and the mind–body connection. Together, we will explore the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that may be contributing to your current struggles while helping your nervous system develop a greater sense of safety. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered, not just during our sessions, but in your everyday life.
I believe healing involves more than reducing symptoms. It means understanding the deeper roots of emotional pain while creating new experiences that help your nervous system feel safer and more regulated. The therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful part of the healing process, offering a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you learn to connect with yourself. Rather than dwelling on the past or placing blame, we work to understand how your experiences have shaped you so you can move forward with greater clarity, self compassion, and confidence.
Sessions may integrate talk therapy with eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), art therapy, and somatic (body-based) approaches such as mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Whether you’re navigating the effects of trauma, struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or feeling stuck in recurring patterns, I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and confidential space where healing can unfold at your own pace. For most clients, weekly sessions are recommended to build momentum and support lasting change, though biweekly sessions may be appropriate, depending on your needs, goals, and circumstances.
