My creativity guides my individualized approach to therapy, blending talk and experiential methods depending on your unique needs.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Board-Certified and Licensed Art Therapist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Art from the University of Tampa in 2004, and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Ursuline College in 2008. Since 2011 I have been in private practice, working with adults and children who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, with a specialization in childhood, complex, and sexual trauma, with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community.

I also provide on-site group and individual services to underserved populations, such as survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and homelessness.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) under Amber Stiles-Bodnar and am certified in Thai Massage under Kevin Lynch (2018) . I also recently completed a 200-hr yoga teacher training program at Satsang Yoga under Sharada Lenhart (2026).

Our Wellness Practitioners

Peace of Art Therapy hosts a community of independent wellness practitioners. Each brings their own unique expertise, creating opportunities for you to explore healing in a collaborative way. Once you begin working with these providers, you will schedule and pay directly with them.

I discovered yoga in 2010 when a friend raved about “how good it made him feel.” I quickly experienced the benefits myself - physically, mentally, and emotionally - and I was able to adopt a healthier lifestyle - which I had been working on for 30 years! That’s when I realized the transformative power of yoga and its sister sciences.

I completed my 200-hour yoga certification in 2014 through the Jivasara Yoga Method under Marni Task; my Reiki Level II certification in 2015 with Gina Matteucci; and my 500-hour yoga certification in 2024 through Satsang Yoga with Sharada Lenhart.

I’m passionate about sharing the power of yoga, breath, and touch with others. I listen with an open heart and intuitive awareness, holding space for clients while energetically supporting their relaxation and healing.

Anita Arjipan, Certified Reiki II Practitioner, E-RYT 200, RYT 500

After a lifetime of ignoring and repressing my mental wellness, my body eventually rebelled. I had developed both physical and psychological manifestations from unprocessed trauma, which forced me to step away from my career and focus on my own healing journey. I searched for answers, but had limited results from conventional Western medicine, which led me to eventually discover the benefits of holistic modalities - something I would have never expected.

Previously, I spent over 20 years in art education and school leadership, earning my Bachelor’s in Art Education from Cleveland State in 2008. While my focus was once primarily on the technical aspects of art, I have since discovered how spontaneous creative expression can support emotional well-being.

I provide safe, empowering spaces that encourage self-expression and growth. My approach focuses on helping my clients to rewire their brains so that they can live in the present moment with acceptance, gratitude, and joy.

Rachel Metz, CYT 200, CYT 500, Certified Thai Massage Practitioner

I was drawn to the practice of yoga by the flow of movements and poses, which felt like a natural modality being a dancer my whole life. I quickly realized there were so many other benefits as well. This inspired me to explore other holistic healing modalities, including massage, aromatherapy, meditation, breathwork, and Ayurveda.

I completed my 200-hour yoga certification with Awake To My Soul under Ylonda Rosenthal-Greene in 2020 and my 500-hour yoga certification at Satsang Yoga in 2024 under Sharada Lenhart. In addition, I received my Thai massage certification from Sarah Cheiky in 2023.

I create heart-centered sessions that allow clients to feel seen, heard, and fully authentic. I offer yoga (vinyasa, yin, restorative), meditation, breathwork, aromatherapy, and Thai yoga massage - which can be combined and tailored to each person’s needs in the moment, as each day is different. I come from a space of compassion, openness, and authenticity.
